One kettle, two sizes, and a burner package built around how you actually plan to use it. Because a kettle like this is a real investment, we made the gas configuration semi-customizable, so you land on the setup that fits your space and how you gather.
We've partnered with two of the most respected burner manufacturers in the US, so every burner we install meets the same quality and endurance standard we apply to everything we craft at Sea Island Forge. Every burner is certified for both residential and commercial use, so you can buy with confidence. That matters to us, a lot.

Material
Steel or Brass
Steel is durable and stands up well to both the heat and the elements, which is why its been a consistent and reliable choice for outdoor fire and grill equipment for decades.
Brass is the elegant and equally durable upgrade.
Ignition
Push-button or Electronic
Both the Standard and Premium kettles feature a battery-powered push-button start.
No cords or wiring required. Our Signature kettle upgrades to a fully electronic ignition (packaged with a 2-Hr auto timer and key-fab remote), offering the simplest and most efficient start to an evening of fireside gathering.
Technology
Enhanced Flame
The brass burner packaged with both the Premium and Signature kettles features patented CROSSFIRE® flame technology, delivering a taller, fuller and more natural flame pattern.
The enhanced flame technology also burns quieter than traditional burners, replacing the familiar loud, hollow sound with a gentler, more refined flame aesthetic that evokes the warmth and visual appeal of a natural wood fire.
Protection
Water & Debris
A purpose-built brass fitting keeps water and debris away from the ignition electronics and valve, while still allowing the system to clear itself of any moisture in the line before lighting. Built for a kettle that lives outdoors, uncovered, through a coastal Georgia summer.
“Made in the tradition of Southern cane syrup boiling kettles, it functions as a centerpiece for the entire family to gather round for roasting oysters or marshmallows.”
“The Best Chef-Loved Essentials for Outdoor Entertaining”

"Speaking of firepits, check out the line from Sea Island Forge, an artisan blacksmithing ship from South Georgia...They are great looking as open fire pits, but on top of that, accessories make them very versatile.”
Discover Our Gas Kettle FAQs
A quick guide to the most common questions about the Sea Island Forge Gas Kettle.
Our gas kettles are designed for use with a hard gas line, and are available for use with either Liquid Propane or Natural gas.
Gas kettles should be installed by a licensed professional plumber to ensure proper connection to the gas line, and code compliance. Additionally, the Signature kettle should be connected to a hard 12V electrical line by a licensed professional electrician to ensure proper installation and code compliance.
Please note that industry standards recommend a minimum gas line capacity of 60-70% of the burners MAX BTU OUTPUT. We encourage you to consult with your plumber before selecting your kettle to ensure optimal functionality, and the best overall fireside experience.
Our gas kettles are built to connect on a gas specific basis, so it's important that you select the right type of fuel when you place your order. Please check your order carefully before purchase, and call our showroom if you have questions.
Please note that shipping charges on an exchange are the customer's responsibility
All of our burners are universal, so they are technically compatible with both propane and natural gas. The ignitions are, however, gas specific, so converting the kettle to an alternative fuel source after purchase may require the replacement of one or more parts.
Please call us to discuss the specific options and requirements for your gas kettle.
Our gas kettles are made exclusively for gathering.
Although it is technically possible to cook over a gas flame (think gas grill!), food and oil
drippings can clog the individual burner ports, and may destroy the burner unit
