As practical as it is pretty, the concrete tabby Ground Cover is a fire pit pad that protects the grass beneath your Kettle from the heat.
*Note: If you are placing your Kettle on wood decking or flammable surfaces, you need to lay a foundation of pavers, bricks, or slate that is at least 1.5" thick. This foundation needs to extend under all feet of your Kettle as well to protect your floor surface from radiant heat. Ground cover is not intended for this purpose, but will protect grass or cover unsightly grass areas under Kettle that may have died due to lack of sunlight, etc.
